Show History

Dede Wathey was such an integral part of our LaFusion team during the past few years that it’s hard to imagine our show moving forward without her. Dede was a fun-loving, fireball whose can-do attitude helped launch LaFusion in Phoenix in 2009. She always brought her enthusiasm, smile and quick wit with her as we marched on to build LaFusion into an exciting, entertaining television show. She used every ounce of her media and marketing knowledge, creativity and negotiating skills to help bring the show to fruition and land on the NBC affiliate.

When Dede was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in late 2009, she displayed courage and grace and committed to battling the disease with all the determination with which she gave everything else in her life. She fought a courageous battle but the cancer took her precious life far too soon in December of 2010. She was a wonderful wife to her husband, Drew, and an amazing mother to her two beautiful children, Kevin and Lauren. We will always treasure the time we had with her. Now, we honor Dede and her hard work and dedication to this project as we forge ahead to make a place in the entertainment world for LaFusion.
